Retirement of Chair after 9 Years of Exceptional Service

Today, we share with you important news regarding the leadership of our Trust. After nine years of exemplary service, our Chair of Trustees, Ed Wydenbach, has decided to step down from his position effective from 31st December 2023.

Ed Wydenbach has played a pivotal role in our Trust community, contributing significantly to its growth and success. His unwavering passion for education, commitment to our students, and strong leadership have left an enduring mark on our Trust.
Throughout his tenure, Ed has been an invaluable source of knowledge, guiding the Board of Trustees with dedication and expertise. His tireless efforts have greatly contributed to the success and expansion of our Trust.

Under Ed’s leadership, we have achieved numerous milestones, expanded our impact, and solidified our reputation in the education sector. His leadership style, characterised by integrity, collaboration, and a sincere passion for our mission, has been a source of inspiration for us all.
We are pleased to share that Ed has decided not to completely depart from our Minerva family. Ed has kindly volunteered to continue offering support to one of our Local Governing Bodies, which he will join in the very near future.

It also gives me great pleasure to announce Ed’s successor; John Doyle. John is currently a member of our Trust Board. He is an experienced Governor and Trustees; having held numerous governing positions in local schools and Trusts. We look forward to introducing John to you all later in the week and to him formally taking up the position of Chair of the trust board effective from 1st January 2024.

Let us collectively express our deepest appreciation to Ed for the remarkable leadership and unwavering dedication he has brought to our Trust. We extend our warmest wishes to Ed for a fulfilling and joyous retirement.
