Exciting News: Minerva Learning Trust is Now a Disability Confident Supplier!

Minerva Learning Trust registered as a member of the Disability Confident scheme in 2023 and joined a wide range of other employers across the country in making this commitment.

 As a Disability Confident employer, we are committed to:

  • Encouraging Positive Conversations and Inclusivity:
    Promoting open and positive conversations about disability, raising awareness and understanding to ensure disabled people can make the most of opportunities within the organisation and fulfil their potential.
  • Removing Barriers:
    Identifying and removing any barriers preventing disabled people and those with long term health conditions from accessing employment with the Trust including making reasonable adjustments.
  • Actively Recruit and Retain Talent:Tap into the huge pool of talent amongst disabled people, and recruit, retain and develop people with the skills we need.

As part of this commitment, our Trust Development Plan addresses areas where we have or need to take action to ensure we are meeting the Disability Confident requirements including reviewing our recruitment materials and process, exploring support for employee health through an Employee Assistant Programme and considering how we can support disabled people to access work through work experience placements.
