Minerva Leaning Trust is excited to highlight our ongoing commitment to supporting all staff in their professional growth and development. Emphasising the philosophy of “improve” rather than “prove,” we continue to cultivate a culture that enables every member of our team to reach their full potential. 

Minerva Collaborative Learning Alliance (MCLA): At the heart of this initiative is our Minerva Collaborative Learning Alliance (MCLA), which is the branch name of our professional development offer. This year, numerous staff members have benefited from training led by our very own experts across schools and the central team. These training sessions have been delivered through various innovative methods, including: 

ROUTES Programme: Our ROUTES programme is a comprehensive package of training courses designed to upskill support staff, leaders, and teachers. This programme has been instrumental in providing targeted professional development, ensuring our staff are well-equipped to meet the demands of their roles. 

Subject and Team Network Meetings: We have also facilitated subject and team network meetings for leaders, fostering collaboration and the sharing of best practices across our schools. These meetings provide a platform for leaders to enhance their expertise and drive curriculum and school improvements. 

Annual Trust Conference: In November, we host a highly anticipated annual Trust Conference, where all staff come together to enhance their knowledge. For 2023 the focus was around AI and digital learning in the 21st century. Led by our in-house experts, the conference was a resounding success, offering a day filled with insightful sessions and collaborative learning opportunities. 

Minerva Open Door: This year we launched our new ‘Minerva Open Door’ initiative, whereby we opened classroom doors and welcomed colleagues across our schools and Central Team to look at the excellent teaching and learning taking place. The feedback from staff who have participated has been overwhelmingly positive and so we look forward to this growing next year and visiting more schools to talk all things teaching!
