Over the last 14 years, I have worked at two of the Trust’s schools. I have had a number of different roles at High Storrs, including ITT Coordinator, B&ME Coordinator, Subject Leader for Business & Economics, Head of Faculty – Social Sciences and Associate/Temporary Assistant Headteacher. I have been an Assistant Headteacher at Handsworth Grange Community Sports College for the last four years focusing on T&L, CPD, QA and Careers/P16.
I am passionate about social mobility and the positive impact that a school’s Careers Curriculum can have on all of our students, their job aspirations and their future dreams and achievements.
I am also passionate about teacher and staff development to enable our Trust to be a strong learning community where everybody can access high-quality opportunities to develop themselves (whatever the role a person has!). In particular, I’m interested in developing our future leaders using the Ethical Leadership Framework.
I thoroughly enjoyed working at High Storrs and love the Handsworth learning community. I’m looking forward to getting to know colleagues at our other Trust schools.
