I've taught Maths in 4 schools around the country and have been a senior leader for 15 years. I've held a range of middle and senior roles including Head of Maths, Assistant Head and Deputy Head and joined the Minerva Central School Improvement Team in 2020. I have a Masters' degree in Educational Leadership and have completed the NPQH.

My expertise is in curriculum, assessment and use of data. These are areas that are inextricably intertwined with teaching and learning and as such have vital impact on student experience and achievement.

If these educational strands are approached and developed meaningfully, they go way beyond timetable, qualifications and performance tables. I have contributed to a book on managing change, and my curriculum innovation work was featured on a teaching union website. I have delivered numerous training events within my schools, our Trust and across the city.

I believe all the schools in our Trust can enable our students to excel, whilst retaining their unique character, by creating flexible and innovative approaches to curriculum design. My role is to support that journey.

What I do:

I lead on the development and quality assurance of the curriculum across the Trust and oversee the development, implementation and use of tracking systems to support progress and intervention towards successful outcomes. I work with senior leaders responsible for curriculum and data to align our approaches by sharing, supporting and developing practice. I ensure appropriate Trust policies are in place and deliver related CPD.

Evaluation and development of whole school curriculum structure, review and support with subject level curriculum design, support for Subject Leaders. Support with tracking and outcomes data systems and effective use of them.
