I work within our organisation as our Senior Director of Teaching and Learning. As well as this role, I have worked within one of our Trust schools, Ecclesfield Secondary, for the past 17 years. Joining initially as an NQT, I established myself as a classroom practitioner and then led the school’s MFL department for 8 years, before joining the Senior Leadership Team.
My experience on Ecclesfield’s Senior Leadership Team has seen me hold a variety of roles; from a more pastoral focus leading on the strategic planning and implementation of a brand new PSHCE curriculum to more recently, leading on Teaching and Learning. Since March 2020, I have held my central role within our organisation and feel privileged to do so. Working with colleagues and students from across our schools is inspiring and I learn something new from them all every day.
My key areas of strength and expertise are the strategic leadership of Teaching and Learning, including the implementation of research informed CPD opportunities for colleagues, leadership development and succession planning and encouraging and building collaboration and networking.
What I do:
Working closely with the Trust Directors of Professional Development and the Trust Director of Early Career Development and Digital Learning, I lead and oversee all aspects of Teaching and Learning and professional development across our schools. I also lead on our Minerva new staff induction, as well as our annual Trust conference.

Any queries related to Teaching and Learning (policies, practice, research) and the Minerva Learning Collaborative Alliance (MLCA). This includes helping with queries related to both teaching and Business Services ROUTES CPD, as well as coaching and leadership programmes and the Trust conference.
