I am Co-Director of Student Recruitment and Admissions at Sheffield Hallam University, where my responsibilities include student recruitment across the University’s markets: Home and International, Under-graduate and Post-graduate. I lead the University’s widening access team, supporting equality of opportunity and access to higher education for under-represented and disadvantaged learners and their families. This includes responsibility for Sheffield Hallam’s outreach partnership with the University of Sheffield (HEPP – Higher Education Progression Partnership) and the South Yorkshire UniConnect outreach and attainment Programme. I played a key role in the formation of the University’s Social Mobility Partnership, South Yorkshire Futures, creating and implementing projects including the South Yorkshire Children’s University. I job share this role and am passionate about the benefits job-sharing and flexible working brings to both individuals and organisations.

I have experience of being a Chair of governors and school governor at a number of different schools in Sheffield and Doncaster, and alongside my role at Minerva I am also a governor at a Sheffield Primary school.
